Vocal Masterclass Friday July 2nd - Sunday July 4th 2010

The Class begins after supper on Friday, and ends with an informal concert on Sunday afternoon.  Since moving to Plas Tan y Bwlch the course has always been oversubscribed and early application is recommended.

The Masterclass is a very potent and telling medium for vocal tuition, as singers can compare the effect of the teacher on many students within a short time, and at least as much can be learned from the instruction given to others as from one’s own lessons. Considerable experience of performance can be obtained, something which is not possible in an individual lesson, and the singer is assured of having a sympathetic audience of fellow performers. Early application is advised as there is a strict limit on total numbers.
Classes will be small, and lessons will be divided between the tutors. As singers are dealt with as individuals, a very wide range of ability can be catered for. Singers are free to choose their own repertoire, and at least four items should be prepared (one of these, or an additional item, can be performed at the informal concert).

Participants are reminded to bring extra copies of their music for accompanists and  tutors.
Students should arrive in time for supper on Friday. (Reception is open from 4.30). Those new to the area may wish to arrive earlier in order to spend a little time exploring the surroundings in this area of outstanding natural beauty. (Lunch can be found in the village of Maentwrog, half a mile away). Bedrooms are either single or double, or single or double en-suite, for which an extra charge is made.
